TORONTO, Canada, May 12, 2016 – Clever Samurai™
Marketing Communications (cleversamurai.com
creative team of Adam McDade and Emmanuel Torres have won bronze in the print category at the 2016 Cannes Young Lions competition.
Clever Samurai’s 2016 entry focused on David Suzuki Foundation’s “Superhero Challenge.” The goal was to encourage parents, teachers and caregivers to bring kids
outside more often to learn more about the planet. 359 teams across Canada registered for the competition.
Copywriter Adam McDade comments, “Our campaign is based on the insight that the effects of global change will not be noticeable to this generation. Nor will they
be for the next generation. The generation after will experience the irreversible symptoms of a failing environment - but they can be prevented by us now. Our piece
represents our children’s children, and how they will see the changing world.”
A Young Lion is a Canadian who has experience in advertising or creative media, and must be under the age of 30. They must also be part of an advertising agency or
industry company. Competitors must be highly driven to reach the top of the Canadian Young Lions. The winning Young Lions go on to represent Canada in the global Cannes
Young Lions competition in Cannes, France.
Clever Samurai entrants in 2015 won gold in the National Advertising Challenge for their packaged goods campaign related to breast cancer awareness campaign and
participated in Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity advertising competition.
